11.0Teaching contents and form
In 2016, project team employed 18 foreign teachers and responsible for the year1 high school students and year2 middle school students and the oral teaching for primary grade 5 children, one lecture for every class per week.
In primary school, pay more attention on developing students’ interests of English studies. Heuristic topic teaching was taken and that created real English leaning environment
In Middle school, pay more attention on the basic English skills. Using<My topic>as textbook for systematized English teaching.
In high school, pay more attention on the abilities of English application. Combining the debate, presentation, reading and writing diversified instructional mode.

2Open class and academic meeting
To improve the teaching level of foreign teachers, keep the high quality of foreign teaching lecture, the project team held open class, presentation, seminar and professional training events. All those events made Chinese and foreign teachers learn from each other and continually improve the level of English teaching. Academic meeting was held every month in which the seminar discussing around the teaching design, lecture management, test examination and events organization and so on that effectively improved the teaching skills of foreign teachers. In 2015-2016, foreign teacher open class and teaching seminar held in 41 times and the academic meeting held in 6 times.
3.0‘Same lecture different structure’ teaching activities
Based on the keeping the quality of class teaching, the project team member continually exploring the practice of creative projects to promote the further understanding and exploration about English education.
In 2006.11, the project team invited the well-known professional English teacher Craig wright came to Suzhou to have the ‘Same lecture different structure’ open classes with foreign teacher Sam Carson in Suzhou Xujiang experimental middle school. All Chinese and foreign teachers viewed on site and engendered a heated debate.

1‘Future Star’ English Presentation competition for middle school student and the debate competition for high school students
To show the consequence of foreign teacher lecture, rich students’ after-school life, improve the enthusiasm of English learning and communication, provide an opportunity and a platform for students to express themselves and improve themselves, the project team held ‘Future Star’ English Presentation competition for middle school student and the debate competition for high school students from 2015, which largely supported by each school that taking part in the project. There were nearly 200 students joining in the competition and the foreign teachers gave guidance to students as volunteers before the competition. As the result, students were full of showing their fluent speaking skills and personal strength so that the event achieved a big success and had a good social response.
2Social-benefit activities
To show the people-benefit mission of the project better, the project organized 12 foreign teachers came to Nanfeng middle school Zhangjiagang to supporting their education. The new teaching style which is using pure British speaking to have interaction to students that is very popular among both students and teachers.
In 2016.11, we put this supporting event into the official working schedule. At that time, we organized 12 foreign teachers to educational support Tongluo middle school in Wujiang. The purpose of these close and face to face classes and event communications are encourage the interest of English learning of students.
3Culture experience and promotion activities
In the project, foreign teachers brought the western culture into the classes in Suzhou. At the same time, we made full use of the after-school time to have activity of travelling around the old city. They learnt from culture activity such as making traditional Chinese dessert, paper-cut,experiencing handwriting and tea ceremony. Those activities deeply went into and even promoted the traditional Chinese culture positively in Suzhou and they promoted the communicate and combination of Chinese and western culture.
