The project are popular in project school, teachers, students and parents and they spoke highly of this project since it begins. Foreign teachers interact with students face to face that brought the new energy to the class and it encouraged students’ interest of English learning,improved the ability of language and broadened their international horizons.
Foreign teaching lecture become the practice base for local Chinese English teacher to learn the language teaching after those foreign teachers arrived in schools. According to the requirement, foreign teachers had open class every term, had presentation on the teaching method and English-culture, talking and discussing with original teachers. All above works largely improved the level of local teachers and the cross-culture literacy.

Project foreign teachers have been gone through the life of social and school under the supporting and helping from the project team and different schools. They took part in schools’ sports day, cultural social practice and so on positively. They also learnt about the folk art and experiencing traditional culture. They already become the followers and communicators of the Chinese traditional culture. 。

In 2016’s Teachers’ Day, all foreign teachers from the project team were invited to take part in the career ceremony for new teachers. Foreign teacher Alice Bethan Gould was the only one to represent overall to give a speech.

Nearly the New Year’s Day, project team held the Foreign Teacher Summary Annual Ceremony with the Welcome Party. They had a cozy Christmas with foreign teachers which full of Suzhou style that made them feel the warm of home.
In the past 10 years, the project had covered all the public schools in Suzhou, it provided the free textbook for students, organized foreign teachers to support the weak schools and held different kinds of presentation competition. The foreign teaching resources were contributed to all students which promoting the educational fairness. |
