ShengHong Group Co.,Ltd (hereinafter referred to as Shenghong) founded in 1992 in Shengze, Wujiang. In 2020, Shenghong group will officially enter the ranks of "world top 500", ranking 455, 111th of "top 500 Chinese enterprises", 22nd of "China's top 500 private enterprises" and China's top 500 private manufacturing enterprises ranked 13th.

Shenghong has always focused on the development of real economy, and has formed an innovative high-tech enterprise group with petrochemical, textile and energy as the main business. Now it has one listed company (Dongfang Shenghong, 000301), more than 30 real companies and more than 40000 employees. Under the jurisdiction of Suzhou, Lianyungang and Suqian, the group has business all over the world. It is the leader of China's chemical fiber industry, the practitioner of national petrochemical industry strategic development, and the ecological creator of the whole industrial chain of new high-end manufacturing industry.

This time, students visited Shenghong group's thermal power branch and Shenghong new fiber printing and dyeing plant. Shenghong printing and dyeing is one of the core businesses of Shenghong group and one of the largest textile printing and dyeing enterprises in China. Founded in 1992, it is located in Shengze, Wujiang, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, known as China's silk capital. It has nearly 10000 employees.

When the students arrived, the supervisor warmly received us and introduced the thermal power generation and modern printing and dyeing machines to the students in the conference room.

Before departure, the teachers of the International Department asked the students to consult the relevant information on the Internet in advance and be ready to ask questions. Therefore, although it contains many professional terms, the students said that they could understand 60% - 70%, but as the students are learning the knowledge of engineering, they are very interested in the operation principle of the machine, so they raised some questions from time to time in the process, and the scene atmosphere was very active.

Then the students visited the printing and dyeing process to learn about the development history and achievements of Shenghong printing and dyeing factory. The students showed great interest and took photos with their mobile phones from time to time to check the related explanations.

After informing the factory of the precautions, the students received the relevant safety equipment and entered the company's production area under the guidance of the company staff.

In recent years, Shenghong has built a national enterprise technology center, Jiangsu (Shenghong) textile new material research institute, national textile testing center, postdoctoral research workstation and other scientific research and innovation platforms. Therefore, every student in this "Shenghong Tour" is like a curious kid. They’d never stop recording, listened to the introduction of the staff, understands the production process and technical level, and asks questions from time to time to communicate with the staff. In this process, the students learned that each production line, each step needs to go through a complex process, and after that, there must be a precise inspection to ensure that everything is safe.

At the end of the visit, the students were still full of ideas and vied to ask questions to the staff. Some students were interested in the mechanical structure of the equipment, and some students were interested in the capital flow of the company. The staff of Shenghong patiently and carefully answered the questions for the students one by one, and encouraged their curiosity. The students also expressed their sincere thanks to the company staff for their warm reception.

Towards noon, we set out on our way home.

After a few hours' visit, we learned about the process of a piece of cloth from existence to nonexistence, the difficulties and great changes of a top 500 enterprise from establishment to strength, and had a deeper understanding of the local well-known enterprises in Suzhou, which enhanced our sense of pride as Suzhou people!
