Have you ever been defined by others? Are you also asked how? Do our friends around us also suffer from the shackles of "labels"? "Rather than being defined, it's better to customize." On March 14th, Zhou Ruiyi, a student from the International Department, held an activity called "Being Undefined Yourself.".

As soon as the activity started, students continued to stop and watch. Slowly, everyone began to reach out and tear off the labels on the posters, while expressing their views with sticky notes. They looked carefully at the billboard covered with labels, as if thinking of themselves defined by others' prejudices. After forcefully tearing down the label with bias, they pasted a sticky note bearing good hope onto the billboard.

Undefined activities are meant to tell many people who live in various shades not to be influenced by the eyes of others and not to be defined by their judgments. Most of us live in a defined and regulated environment, gradually losing ourselves and developing an inferiority complex.

As the planner of this event, I have also been labeled with various labels. I hope that through this small event, everyone can face up to the labels attached to us by the outside world. We should not be defined by those bad words, let alone lose faith due to gossip. Differences are not boundaries, but prejudices. We must bravely move forward and become our own light. Let us "refuse to be defined" together in the "most beautiful March day in the world", become decision-makers in our own lives, and show new faces.

You don't need to grow into a rose. If you like, make daisies, gardenias, nameless wildflowers, and millions. No one can define you except yourself, dare to tear off the inherent label, break through yourself, and you can meet a new self. A person's life is not frozen by the beginning, but changed by the direction, because everyone has unlimited possibilities.
