Recently, the mid-term evaluation results of the first batch of provincial-level basic education vocational education foreign cooperation and exchange key construction projects in Jiangsu Province during the 14th Five Year Plan period were announced. Our school's "Shengtao International Understanding Education Project" was rated as "excellent" and ranked second in this mid-term evaluation.




As the only public high school within the urban area of Suzhou, our international department adheres to the overall goal of international understanding education, which is to cultivate "symbiotic people in the era of globalization". In 2021, our school's "Shengtao International Understanding Education Project" was evaluated and publicly announced by the Provincial Department of Education, and was ultimately rated as one of the first key construction projects for foreign cooperation and exchange in basic education and vocational education in the province during the 14th Five Year Plan.


Our school has always maintained the richness and innovation of its curriculum, committed to "bringing in" and "going out" in international exchanges between China and foreign countries. By combining elements of the new era with the traditional cultural heritage of Suzhou, we have created a new title film for the Shengtao International Understanding Education Course at Suzhou No.1 High School of Jiangsu Province.



Curriculum Innovation



Our school has independently developed the "Career development Guidance Manual for Shengtao International Curriculum Project", which contains the professional analysis and guidance of experts in all disciplines, and is committed to letting students find topics of interest to them, and conducting lasting and in-depth research, so as to maximize the subjective initiative of each student and cultivate students' leadership, team awareness, learning ability, communication ability, planning ability, etc.





Teacher Training

During the fifth collective learning session of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Chairman Xi emphasized that strengthening education must first strengthen teachers, and that strengthening the construction of the teacher team should be the most important basic work in building an education strong country. He also emphasized the importance of cultivating a high-quality teacher team, consolidating the foundation of building an education strong country, and further clarifying the task of strengthening the teacher team construction.



In April 2022, Suzhou No.1 High School signed a Sino foreign cooperative education agreement with Cranleigh School in the UK, aiming to fully utilize the advantages of language partner schools by introducing advanced international education resources, integrating language use, comprehensive abilities, and quality education into daily practical teaching and teaching processes, and comprehensively improving the overall international education level of Suzhou No.1 High School of Jiangsu Province.




Improvement of students' international comprehensive literacy and ability



Improving English proficiency, focusing on conducting interdisciplinary competitions, such as the Wisteria Cup English Talent Competition and the Wisteria International Education Forum; Improve academic literacy, with a focus on participating in various international competitions, such as the American Olympic AMC; Improve sports literacy, focusing on participating in various sports competitions both on and off campus, such as marathons and various international sports events suitable for students to participate in; Global competency training is mainly based on Model United Nations and global leadership courses.
