Love public welfare does not mean to understand public welfare. After the previous stage of China House course study, students have a preliminary understanding of public welfare, and the heart to devote themselves to public welfare also begins to sprout. In order to let students understand international public welfare, feel multiculturalism and broaden their international vision, Mr. Ai uses several issues concerned by the international community as the starting point of the class to lead students to appreciate the charm of public welfare and how to participate in international public welfare as a world citizen.


As soon as the class started, teacher Ai gave each group a piece of white paper. What is this white paper for? The students looked at the white paper in their hands and looked puzzled.

 

Then teacher Ai wrote down the words "the citizens of the world I understand" on the blackboard as the theme of this speech, and asked students to work together in groups to prepare a 6-10 minute presentation.

In addition, teacher Ai hopes that the title and outline of the speech will be presented on white paper in the form of words and pictures. White paper comes in handy.

After a period of study, students have a lot of ideas about "wildlife protection", "world citizens" and so on. The next two groups of students are particularly outstanding. Follow the editor to listen to the citizens of the world in their eyes!


Li Keran, Zhao Hao and Zhang Xinyi gave speeches on wildlife protection and the relationship between students and citizens of the world. "Our world is the earth, and humans and animals coexist. In ancient times, killing tigers was a symbol of heroes, but in modern times, the concept of wildlife protection began to spread, more and more people opposed to killing animals. Our group believes that as citizens of the world, we should coordinate the relationship between animals and humans. We can set up electrified fences near farms to prevent wild animals from approaching, so as to avoid the destruction of crops. Another problem in animal protection is poaching. As students, we can't have direct contact with poachers, but we can start by boycotting the purchase and resolutely not buying ivory or hawksbill products. In many underdeveloped areas, women are still in a weak position. As citizens of the world, they can help local women improve their education level and enable them to have certain economic autonomy. Finally, as students and Chinese citizens, we should learn how to be qualified world citizens from our generation. "

 

Lu Yiran, Shen Qi, Li Zixuan and Liu Wenquan have different understandings of world citizens. "We feel that as citizens of the world, we must participate in international public welfare activities. Animal rights are mainly to protect wildlife and habitat protection, while wildlife protection is mainly anti poaching and anti smuggling. As students, we can't go to the front line of anti poaching and anti smuggling like the police, but we think we can go into the local area to understand the situation of animal protection, and then through publicity, appeal to people for wildlife protection, which is also conducive to urging the local government to strengthen wildlife protection policies. With regard to the protection of animal habitats, we can make public donations and volunteer services. Nowadays, many women still suffer from unfair treatment. We can take material assistance, education and training, establish rescue centers and provide technical support. In terms of training, we can carry out basic education and employment training. We can also donate to NPO and other international organizations to help women who have fled because of persecution. After we have learned more knowledge, we can also go to support education to educate the poor girls in local areas with basic knowledge. "

 

Through this round of students' speeches, teacher Ai also found some small problems. We'll sort them out and pay attention to them in the future~

 

1. Before giving a speech, the content of the speech should be determined according to the audience, and the value dimension of the speech should be measured to make the speech play the greatest role;

2. Pay attention to clear organization, clear theme and appealing tone;

3. The speech is based on the central theme, and the points should be remembered during the speech;

4. Remember not to read the manuscript, the speed and intonation should be moderate;

5. The speech can be appropriately interspersed with some small jokes to enliven the atmosphere and attract the attention of the audience.

 

To love public welfare, we need to understand public welfare. After the study of China House course, every student has a better understanding of international public welfare undertakings, and their heart to contribute to international public welfare is also beginning to stir. We look forward to a few years later, they will return home after learning, and they will show their youthful enthusiasm in international public welfare undertakings!
